Macabacus Lite is a VBA add-in, so no actual installation—in the traditional sense—is required. Therefore, Macabacus Lite can be 'installed' even where corporate IT protocols restrict software installation.

1. Download the add-in

Do not open the add-in

2. Move the add-in

The exact path may differ on your computer. Replace %USER NAME% with your own, of course. If the AppData folder is hidden, follow these instructions to display it.
3. Unblock the add-in
Since a July 2016 Office security update, you must 'unblock' VBA add-ins. To unblock Macabacus Lite, right-click MacabacusLite.xlam in Windows Explorer, click Properties in the context menu, and click the Unblock button. If you do not unblock Macabacus Lite, it may not load automatically when starting Excel.
4. Load the add-in
Load Macabacus Lite from Excel's Add-ins dialog (Alt>T>I) shown to the right. If Macabacus Lite is not listed, click the Browse button to find MacabacusLite.xlam on your computer. Finally, check the box next to Macabacus Lite and click the OK button.
Uninstall
